Just got caught up with this comic, you do realize the swastika was used by the political left.
Come on.
You shouldn’t have to deal with this kind of shit. Arguing about the changed or double meaning of a word is the ambiguity fallacy: https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/ambiguity — although there are quite a few packed into that one statement, including Strawman (the trouble isn’t that the fascists are displaying the swastika) and Tu Quoque (the comic’s criticism isn’t invalid just because it can be criticized).
Nopes! The Nazis sat as far Right as they coulds in the parliament, with the others right-wing parties, an’ evens far-right ones. They literallies massacred their owns comparative right wing. Hitler wrote abouts how taking up trappings ofs the left was intended as a trick an’ treated the left as their enemies ins Mein Kampf, Their government engaged ins so much privatization that the word literallies entered English to describes their economic policy. They abolished trade unions in favors of a single “state union” that actually eliminated all collective bargaining power an’ vastly increaseds the power ofs the capitalist class as compareds to the workers. Most of their supposed major public works are eithers myths, ors things they did literallies to prep fors their genocide. They were militantlies opposed to communism. There is no reputable historian who claims they’s ofs the Left, no coherent historical evidence fors this position, an’ whenever givens the opportunity themselves to signal their political leanings, they chose to signal they were of the right *unless* pretendings to be at all ofs the left gave them some kind ofs political advantage.
At first I thought this arc was gonna be super uncomfortable because these people were gonna outweigh GK’s skill and training with sheer numbers and persistence, but so far, it’s just been really gratifying to read a story about a black woman kicking in the faces of a bunch of nazis! <3
Thanks. It felt good to draw.
I really want to see this guy get what he deserves for hitting people with a car.
I know what is it like to get hit with a car and then for years just burst into tears upon the sight of a road, and anybody who hits people with a car _intentionally_ ALWAYS earns my hate.
I get you. I’ve had similar experiences. I was run off the road a few years ago on my bike. I have no idea why, but the driver stopped long enough that his friend could laugh at me out the window before they drove off. I wasn’t actually hurt at all (well, I had a scraped up knee) but just the act of it was pretty upsetting. The apparent willingness to hurt another person just for fun.
So we’ve got BasedStickMan wearing an AntiFa mask…
No. Like everyone who appears in this episode, this person was based on some rando Alt-Right guy I found in photos from Charolettesville.
Yesss! Final panel feels… What’s the word? Pretending to make you feel better? Something like that. It sparks the internal desire to punch that scum irl in me.
